iOS · coming soon

Never miss what just happened.

ConvoTrace keeps the last ~90 minutes of audio rolling on your iPhone, so you can save the moment after it happens — not before. A rewind button for real life.

Recording stays on your iPhone. Transcription is optional — yours to enable. We'll only email you about the launch.

How it works

Three steps. The first one is the only one you have to remember.

  1. Turn it on

ConvoTrace quietly keeps a rolling buffer of the most recent audio. Nothing to start, nothing to remember.

  2. Something happens

An odd noise, a verbal agreement, a bird call, a key moment in a meeting — you didn't need to have hit record.

  3. Tap Save

Drag the slider to choose the last N minutes (1–90). It's saved as a permanent clip — yours to play and share.

Built to capture the moment you almost lost

Calm, reliable, and honest about how iOS works.

Save after the fact

Tap Save, then drag the slider to choose how many recent minutes to keep — anywhere from 1 to 90. If less is buffered, ConvoTrace saves a partial clip gracefully instead of failing.

A clips library with a real player

Every saved clip shows its waveform. A SoundCloud-style mini-player lets you scrub and play back at 1× / 1.2× / 1.5× / 2× — perfect for re-listening fast.

Choose your quality

Voice, Standard, High, Maximum, or Lossless presets (AAC & ALAC), with live storage estimates so you always know the trade-off. Record in mono or stereo.

  • Rolling 90-minute buffer

Always quietly keeping the last ~90 minutes (configurable). Older audio is continuously discarded.

  • Private by default

Recording and your rolling buffer stay on your iPhone. Transcription is optional — only the clips you choose are uploaded.

  • Honest reliability

If iOS ever stops recording, a pre-scheduled notification tells you — and the app marks exactly which range is missing.

  • Waveforms everywhere

The buffer and every clip render as a live waveform, so you can see the sound, not just hear it.

  • Friendly onboarding

Plain-language screens explain exactly how the microphone and notifications are used — before any system prompt.

  • Save and share

Export any clip with the standard iOS share sheet — send to Files, Notes, Messages, or anywhere you like.

Private by default.

Recording happens entirely on your iPhone. The rolling buffer never leaves the device — you decide if anything ever does.

  • Recording stays on-device. Your rolling buffer and saved clips live in local storage. They are never uploaded automatically.
  • Transcription is opt-in. Only the clips you choose to transcribe are uploaded — turned into speaker-labelled text and synced to your account.
  • Accounts are optional. Use the app anonymously, or Sign in with Apple to sync across devices. Delete your account and all server data anytime.
  • No tracking. No analytics SDKs harvesting your activity, no third-party ad networks.

Being honest: iOS can pause background recording in some situations. ConvoTrace can't promise it never happens — but it tells you when it does and marks exactly which time range is missing, so you're never quietly misled.
