Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 June 2026

The short version. ConvoTrace records audio in a rolling buffer that lives entirely on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly tap Transcribe on a saved clip — and then only that clip is sent, over an encrypted connection, to be turned into text. We never sell your data and there are no advertising or third-party tracking SDKs in the app.

Who we are

ConvoTrace ("we", "us") provides the ConvoTrace iOS app. Contact: andriy@marindrew.com.

What stays on your device

What we process when you transcribe

Transcription is an optional, paid feature. When you choose to transcribe a saved clip:

Account & usage data

What we do not do

Security

Audio and transcripts are transmitted over TLS and stored outside the public web root with per-user access controls. Access to the server is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we design to minimise what is collected and exposed.

Your responsibilities

Recording laws vary by location. In many places you must inform or obtain consent from other people before recording a conversation. You are responsible for using ConvoTrace lawfully and for the recordings you make and choose to transcribe.

Data retention & deletion

Transcribed clips you've synced remain on our server until you delete them in the app. To delete all server-side data associated with your device, delete your clips or contact us at andriy@marindrew.com.

Children

ConvoTrace is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
